As of Fall 2026, I am now able to accept cattle clients without restrictions. Accepting new clients from Mercer, Anderson, and Woodford counties. (Previously established clients outside those counties will still be served.)

Small animal care limited to working Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGDs). No other dogs or cats accepted as patients. LGD care limited to routine procedures such as vaccines. No small animal emergency coverage available.

Small ruminant clients are encouraged to haul in for emergencies. Although currently all small ruminant emergencies will be considered, potential clients are encouraged to reach out during normal business hours to establish that relationship before an emergency occurs. For fastest service during an emergency, please call and follow the prompts to leave a voicemail.

Although my primary practice is in Kentucky, I am also licensed in West Virginia and Virginia and am able to provide limited telemedicine services in those states. The goal of this availability is to provide services where there currently are no veterinarians accepting new clients or similar shortage situations.

CKSRVS can provide telemedicine services with an annual ON FARM visit to establish and maintain veterinary-client-patient relationship (VCPR). This option should only be utilized if you do not already have an opportunity to use a local veterinarian (ex: local large animal vets are not accepting new clients). All producers are encouraged to establish and maintain a VCPR with a local vet who is able to provide sick animal and emergency visits. By establishing yourself as a CKSRVS client, you are acknowledging (1) the limitations of telemedicine services, (2) that these services cannot be utilized if it has been more than a year since your VCPR visit. and (3) it is BEST to establish and maintain a relationship with a local veterinarian when possible.
